HILLARY JOI BROWN
FOUNDER / EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR


​Hillary co-founded HOW in 2007 and currently serves as Executive Director. She has devoted her life to helping others and has volunteered for many non-profit organizations. Helping Orphans Worldwide was built on the basis of providing hope, health and security to abused, abandoned and underprivileged children living worldwide.  Since 2007, her vision has expanded to empower families, even communities with a keen focus on women in need. Her focus is on developing  long-term, self-sustaining programs that will have a positive and lasting impact on the health and well-being of poverty-stricken women and children around the world.

​CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

​​Randall Brown has served as a valuable director and board member for HOW since its inception in 2007. In 2012, Randall was elected to Chairman of the Board of Directors.  He has been actively involved with fundraising for the organization; Randall is responsible for acquiring the necessary funds to sustain our work and further develop additional resources.

CO-FOUNDER / TREASURER

Daria Gledhill serves as Treasurer and is a Co-Founder of HOW.  Prior to joining Helping Orphans Worldwide, she was an Executive in the cosmetics industry. Following a life changing trip to the Philippines working with abused and abandoned young girls, Daria decided to follow her passion for helping others. Not long after, she partnered with Hillary Brown and HOW was born.  

SECRETARY

Tan Vo is a professional videographer and video editor born in Vietnam.  As a boat refugee, Tan arrived in the United States of America in 1985 and fully understands the hardships of living in a third world country. Tan currently freelances for the Seattle Mariners, Seattle Storm, and Microsoft. Her work affords her passion - helping those in need. 

BOARD MEMBER

Judy Gibson manages a small boutique design store in Portland, Oregon. She provides administrative support for HOW. Prior to retail management, she served as assistant director for the William Temple House Thrift Store in Portland, Oregon; this organization is a non-profit charity that specializes in providing counselling for the working poor.  Judy received her bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts from Portland State University.  She has a passion for theater, art, travel and helping those who are less fortunate. Judy joined the HOW Board of Directors in 2009. ​

BUSINESS CONSULTANT

Mitzi Graham graduated magna cum laude with a business degree from the University of South Florida.  As a business executive, she served over a decade in the medical industry before leading the media industry as Marketing & Executive Director in both private and public businesses.  As a HOW volunteer since 2015, she proudly serves as a board member and business consultant.  Mitzi is happily married with two children and proud to be a global child advocate.

CLINICAL SPECIALIST

Amanda Prine is a practicing Occupational Therapist based in Los Angeles, California.  After completing volunteer trips to Peru and Vietnam, she joined HOW in 2016 as a board member.  She has a passion for working with special needs children and is focused on helping HOW children realize their potential.  

COMMUNITY OUTREACH 

Phuong-Nha Bach serves as HOW's Community Outreach Director by providing structure to our local volunteers and coordinating fundraisers as well as donations that significantly benefit impoverished children.  Nha is making a coordinated effort to better the lives of orphans in our care.  She left Vietnam as a child in 1981 with a strong desire to provide those less fortunate with opportunities she never had.  Nha is a mother of two and geologist with almost 20 years of experience in the oil & gas industry.
