The Ping & Amy Chao Family Foundation was founded in Silicon Valley by high technology entrepreneur Ping Chao and his wife, Amy in 2005. The foundation’s missions are to improve the health and well being of children in disadvantaged regions worldwide and to promote a philanthropic spirit, and awareness of nonprofit or service opportunities among Asian Americans, as well as the younger generation in East Asia. East Villagers aims to promote a spirit of philanthropy among the younger generation. Its non-profit community and internship programs are designed to foster a proactive spirit of philanthropy among high school and college students. The Portland Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is a 501(C)3 public charitable organization, dedicated to the support, education, and development of the LGBT community.
